Service Description:
The Sharp Project offers accomodation and support to people with long term mental health problems as well as programmes of support to people not living in our accommodation. The team aim to help clients develop a wide range of daily living and other skills needed to recover their potential to live more fulfilling lives.
Sharps housing resource includes :

A large house on the edge of Hereford providing accomodation for 9 tenants.

A two bedroom shared house within the grounds of the large house.

A three bedroom shared house in Hereford.

A two bedroom flat on the outskirts of Hereford.

A one bedroom flat in Leominster

All the accomodation is fully furnished and centrally heated with TV and telephone.

Hours:
The Team work basic office hours with some flexibility to facilitate access to community resources during evenings and weekends.

Charges:
Personal rental contribution £5 -12 per week depending on level of benefits

Referrals:
Referrals to the project should be made via an enquiry form (available from office) by health or social care professionals.

Disabled Access:
The project has two rooms designed for wheelchair access

This a new development of 4 one bedroom flats in a quiet part of Hereford city. The flats are all in the same building with three on the ground floor and one on the first floor. All have their own private access with small patio areas. The garden is shared between all four.

Herefordshire Mind's SHARP service are contracted to provide up to six hours of housing related support to each tenant each week, with the aim of helping tenants achieve maximum independence and make full use of their home.

Advance is an independent company providing homes to people with mental health problems and learning disabililities throughout the UK.

Service Description:
In addition to a residential care home in Herefordshire, Advance provides:

  • A complex of 8 self contained flats in Hereford with the support of the service manager and support worker. Unsupervised outside of 9-5. Emergency contact via "Community Lifeline" (Herefordshire Council Helpline).

  • A Group Home in Hereford for three people. The home is also supported by the service manager and support worker but at a lower level than the flats. Emergency contact via "Community Lifeline" (Herefordshire Council Helpline)

Service description:
Woolridge Court is a large hostel for single homeless people with special needs, particularly mental health needs. It takes referrals of people aged 18-65 and provides furnished bedsits with large communal living area and laundry. Evening meals and breakfast are provided. The hostel is staffed by care workers during the day. A sleep-in rota provides emergency support during the night.

Referrals:
Referral accepted from statutory or voluntary sector staff. Self referrals not accepted.

Charges:
Residents funded through benefits system.
